Since 26th January d20 is Hertfordshire’s first and only dedicated board game cafe. We serve hot and cold drinks, alcohol, hot and cold food and delicious cakes. We also have a vast library of board games to choose from. So pop in for a coffee and a bite to eat, or for a small cover charge, stay and play for hours with our board games from the library. There is also access to power points so feel free to come along with your laptops and other devices!
Board game cafes started popping up around the UK and, as keen board gamers, Page (AKA Bardcommander), Michelle (AKA chigs) and Mario (AKA Supermaz) visited them. However, these cafes were few and far between and they all wished there was one closer to home. They soon realised that they could be the ones to bring board gaming to Hertfordshire, and actually work in an industry where their passions lie. After a year of researching, securing loans, chasing solicitors and Kickstarter funding, the dream became a reality.
As well as being a result of years of hard work d20 exists thanks to a successful kickstarter and the plentiful support of friends and family.
Page, Michelle and Mario would like to give special thanks their families, they couldn’t have even come close to realising their dream without them. In particular they would like to thank;
