It’s finally here, d20’s gaming space will be opening! Yay! Though things may be a little different…
We know you’ve been asking but we wanted to ensure it will be as safe as possible for you guys when we re-open. So here’s the lowdown on how to get your socially distant gaming fix.
When can I come!?
We open Thursday 30th July. Our opening hours will be as follows, subject to change:
Sunday 12:00 – 18:00
YES! The government requires that we take contact information to aid in the track and trace system. Only one person will need to provide their contact details as long as they have the means to contact the rest of their party. Keep us informed if your booking details and times change as we will need to allow enough time to thoroughly clean tables and chairs between bookings. Please book on our website and read all the information before booking.
What measures are you taking to keep me safe?
Alongside our reviewed cleaning regimes, to maintain 1m+ social distancing a limited number of our tables will be in use. They will be arranged so as to maximise the distancing. All orders and payments will be taken tableside so as to minimise people walking around the cafe (don’t worry, we’ll keep a good eye on you!). The board game library will be off limits for browsing; if you’d like a game then just ask and we’ll get it for you. Customers will be asked to sanitise their hands before playing games and used games will be quarantined for 24 hours. If you would like to play a specific game then let us know on the booking form and we’ll reserve it for you (or let you know it’s in quarantine). You can see what games we have available to play here.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Although it is not compulsory to wear a mask in other cafes we are not like a usual food establishment where people eat and leave, or even necessarily eat at all! Therefore we have decided that masks are required for entry. Customers browsing retail games or getting takeaway are required to wear masks. Customers sitting in do not need to wear their masks at the table but need to put them on when moving about the cafe, walking to the toilets etc. We will have reusable masks available for sale.
Sort of. Running some of our usual events won’t work with social distancing. However we plan on holding events for our CCGs & card games on the times we are closed. These will be socially distant and be in pods of no more than 6. Check our calendar and our Facebook groups for your card community to find out more.
