Enchanted

Happens when an armour's suit matches the monster's suit, or just the suit colours match if the monster has the amplify skill.

Enchanted brittle armour takes twice the amount of damage, and enchanted durable armour takes two hits to the weak-spot to destroy.

The Wand of Denial can stop one armour from being enchanted per wave.

Enraged

Happens when a monster's suit matches its mentor's suit.

Enraged Monsters deal an extra 1 damage each monster phase.

The Wand of Denial can be triggered on an enraging monster to remove the mentor before teaching it skills, traits or enraging it.

Enrage is kept if the resistive trait saves a monster.

Overrun

Happens when you must draw an armour card from an already empty armour deck. If it happens, and you don't have a Bottle of Smoke to counter it, you immediately lose the game regardless of your current health.

Use & Recharge Items

Some items have costs like flipping face-down or rotating by 45° or 90° to activate. If the item isn't already fully upright and face-up, then it can't be used.

Items recharge by rotating back 45° towards upright during the monster phase, and fully upright and flip face-up during a rest.

RULE QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked

If I do not flip any Items to heal during a Rest, do I still roll and heal 1 die?

Yes, you always get a chance to heal a little bit.

Can I loot the Potion of Healing or Feather of the Phoenix again after using them?

Yes. They are returned to the Monster Discard pile, so they may be drawn again as Loot.

The Resistive Trait stopped a Monster being defeated. Do I still get Health from the Amulet of Vampirism?

No. Resistive saved the Monster; the Mentor is discarded instead of the Monster being defeated.

Does the Cloak of Evasion remain on a Monster saved by the Resistive Trait?

Yes, the Monster isn't defeated yet.

With the Spear of Precision, can I adjust a 1 to a 6, or a 6 to a 1, against Weak-spots?

No. Dice do not wrap from 6 to 1 or 1 to 6.

Can I use the Spear of Precision or Axe of Devastation and then not spend that die on that Armour?

No. The die is already spent before you activate the Item, but before the damage is dealt

After activating the Dagger of Luck, can I revert to my original roll if I don't like the re-roll?

No. You lost access to the previous value when you re-rolled.

Can I Reserve Attack Dice before activating the Bottle of Smoke to start a new Player Phase?

Yes. You Reserve the dice, then skip over the Monster Phase.

I have 4 dice in Reserve but the Belt of Utility gets flipped face-down. Do I keep the 2 extra Reserve dice?

Yes, but at the end of the next Player Phase you will only be able to keep 2 as it is now face-down, so the rest will be lost if you don't spend them.

If I activate the Belt of Utility to roll an extra Attack Die, can I still Reserve the 2 extra dice?

No. If the Belt is not upright & face-up at the end of the Player Phase, it cannot be activated to gain the extra Reserves.
