d20 BOARD GAME CAFE PRESENTS

Riftbound Store vs Store League

A home-and-away league where the game stores of the south east UK send teams to each other's tables to battle for renown and glory.

SEASON 1 BEGINS WITH THE RELEASE OF RADIANCE - 23rd OCTOBER 2026

WHY?

A league, not just a one off

Grow the community

Store regulars mostly only play against other regulars. The league puts you across the table with players from the store two towns over. Like a team Skirmish

Fill your store

Every phase brings scheduled fixtures, travelling visitors, spectators and casual games afterwards. Another reason for your Riftbound nights to matter all year round.

Fiercely competitive, still friendly

High OPL, intense best-of-three matches, legend drafting and vetoes. Then a cooldown where everyone hangs around for casual games. Work hard, play hard.

5 v 5

A fixture is best-of-five matches each played by one of your teammates.

A Year of 4 Phases

A Season runs October to October with 4 phases: one phase per set release.

Home & Away

Double round-robin inside your group per phase, meaning you'll play at home & away against each other team.

FIXTURES

Two hours, 5 matches

Meet and Greet

Both teams introduce themselves and announce their twelve legends (legends only, not decklists).

Consultation & veto

Teams huddle separately, then each bans one legend starting with the away team. A vetoed legend is off the table for both sides.

Legend drafting

Home A, away A, away B, home B and so on. Once a legend is taken, nobody else can pick them again.

Matches & Results

Position plays position in a regular best-of-three, 60 minutes with overtime match with their chosen legends. Fixture result is best of 5 of the matches.

Cooldown

Don't just pack up and leave. Stay, chat, eat, play casuals, etc. You've travelled far, so make the most of the night.

Playing for glory, not for prizes

The organisers hand out no prize support, deliberately.

This is a championship played for your own and your store's renown. Stores are welcome and encouraged to reward their own team however they like.
